Winter
By Ronnie Wolfe -- December 8, 2006
Aridness flows
along its narrow path
To threaten like the famous giant of Gath.
The frigid winds blow by--unwelcome guest!
The cold stands still again and gives no rest.
The leaves are like
the Pixies dancing 'round.
They play their song and dance upon the ground.
As eagles t'ward the heavens gently fly,
Winter's first allure comes passing by
In the midst of
time diurnal snowflakes fall,
As snowbirds dance and hear their lover's call.
As dormant trees sway harshly in the wind,
Winter sets its goal to have no end.
Whistling 'round
the corners of the house,
The wind speaks harshly to each man and spouse
To have its way in all its frozen land
And reap rewards from every waiting man.
And long it stays
as slowly passing by
Till sun and stars change orbits in the sky,
And when the angles meet with right decline,
Winter is gone, and sweet, warm days are mine.
